Kieran Trippier is edging ever closer to the Tottenham exit, with Football London reporting that he is close to a move to Atletico Madrid.
A medical is set for the England international in the Spanish capital and a deal is close between the two clubs.
The report suggests that the fee agreed is around £25 million for the man currently paid £65k-a-week at Tottenham, according to Spotrac.
Trippier netted a stunning free-kick in last summer’s World Cup semi-final, but his Premier League form failed to scale such heights during 2018/19.

Napoli, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all shown interest in Trippier during the transfer window, according to Football London.
The 28-year-old departing Tottenham will leave them in desperate need of reinforcements.
Mauricio Pochettino will fly to Singapore and Shanghai with Kyle Walker-Peters as the only recognised right-back in his squad.
Trippier will end a four-year association with Tottenham. He signed from Burnley for £3.5 million in 2015.
TBR Verdict
A switch to Atletico is a great move for the Spurs man.
Diego Simeone’s men finished above city rivals Real Madrid last season and are regulars in the Champions League.

It does leave Tottenham desperately short, however.
Pochettino must have something lined up to take place pretty imminently. It would seem very odd for the boss to let Trippier go without contingency plans in place.
So far this summer Tottenham have signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and their supporters will hope for more new arrivals.
Trippier’s pending departure will surely intensify the club’s search for signings.
