The agent of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is in discussion with Tottenham and Chelsea over a stunning £100 million transfer, according to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, via the Daily Star.
Koulibaly has been in Naples since 2014 and has developed into one of European football’s top defenders.
He has played 20 times in all competitions this season and appears to now be attracting interest from the Premier League.

During his five years at the Serie A outfit, he has played 232 times and fits the billing as a no-nonsense defender.
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho will be in the market for defensive reinforcements soon. Jan Vertonghen is out of contract in the summer and right now there is no indication he will stay at the club.
Chelsea will have a sizeable bounty to play with having served their transfer ban. Frank Lampard has struggled for consistency this season and Koulibaly could be the stellar signing he craves.
TBR Verdict – Koulibaly could transform Tottenham fortunes
Signing a world-class defender like the man capped 33 times by Senegal could really turn Tottenham into serial trophy winners.
Spurs have a good core of young players but they perhaps lack a bit of experience in key areas and Koulibaly would help with that.
He could strike up a formidable partnership with Toby Alderweireld and would add some nastiness to the Tottenham backline.

Furthermore, he would certainly represent an upgrade on Vertonghen should he leave on a free.
At £100 million he won’t come cheap but he could prove to be worth every penny if he leads Tottenham to success.
