Tottenham Hotspur look to have the feel-good factor back after making the decision to replace Mauricio Pochettino with Jose Mourinho.

Spurs are back among the race for a top-four finish and the serial trophy winner has hit the ground running.

Mourinho has implied that he will learn from his previous mistakes and so far his Tottenham team has played some lovely football.

It will be interesting, however, to see what plans Mourinho has for the January transfer window.

His squad is relatively strong, although a few recruits might enhance his push towards a top-four place.

One player who has emerged as a target for Spurs is Hull City star, Jarrod Bowen.

The Northern Echo reports that Mourinho has been convinced by his recruitment team to go after Bowen who is having a standout season with the Tigers.

He has netted 17 goals this season but with his contract expiring in the summer, he could leave for £20 million during January.

The arrival of the 22-year-old could ensure a devastating English attack that could shine for Tottenham in the future.

Ryan Sessegnon earnt praise for his performance against Bayern Munich last week; with Dele Alli and Harry Kane a lethal combination as number 10 and centre forward respectively.

Bowen has been in lethal form on the right-hand side for Hull this season. He is strong, comfortable on the ball and is capable of scoring goals from all over the pitch.

It would be a refreshing transfer by Tottenham. Instead of landing a foreign import, they would be giving an opportunity to young homegrown talent and Bowen has the skills to thrive.

Development

With Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura currently in fine form at Tottenham, Bowen might have to wait patiently.

Jack Clarke is another young talent signed by Spurs in the summer and he has been loaned out, deemed as one of the future.

Bowen is four years older than Clarke and more advanced in his development.

He might not be a starter straight away but he is capable of being a squad player.

Bowen’s arrival would be intriguing and one eye could be firmly on the future.

Having an attacking quarter that is solely made up of English lads will surely delight supporters, however.

Over the years Tottenham has been a successful stomping ground for English talent and signing Bown could ensure that continues.
