Report: Tottenham insiders think they’ve got a player who’ll be one of the best in the world in their current ranks

Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski delivered a superb performance against Southampton yesterday as he helped Spurs get off to the perfect start.

Kulusevski both scored and assisted in the game against the Saints and once again showed just why Spurs were so keen to sign him in January. After playing a key role in helping them into the top four last term, Kulusevski is now the first name on the team-sheet alongside Kane and Son in attack.

And according to Football London, insiders at Tottenham think they might have got one of the world’s very best players in Kulusevski. At least, that’s what they feel the future holds for the Swedish international.

FL reports how both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are huge fans of Kulusevski, which is why they are so desperate to make his loan move permanent ASAP. That will come next summer, when Spurs will use their option to turn that loan permanent and sign Kulusevski to a long-term contract.

The onus, then, is on the winger to simply keep improving and getting better under Conte’s guidance. So far, so good for Kulusevski. But to reach that world-class level, he will need to do even more as we head into future seasons.

TBR’s View: Kulusevski Has It All For Tottenham

So often we see Kane and Son being the ones to get all the plaudits at Tottenham. But yesterday it was Kulusevski who rightly got the praise.

The Swede was simply sensational at times and there is no wonder there is such a belief at Spurs that he’ll go on to be an absolute superstar for the club.

If Kulusevski can continue the form he showed yesterday, and Tottenham can get the best from Kane and Son like normal, then a challenge for the top three positions is very much on the club.
