In recent days, Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Antonio Nusa, one of the most exciting teenagers in European football.

On Thursday night, a report from Het Laatste Nieuws claimed that Tottenham are in advanced talks for the 18-year-old.

‘If everything goes to plan’, then the Norway international will link up with Spurs for €30million (around £26million) plus bonuses.

On Friday morning, Fabrizio Romano did report that Tottenham are indeed in talks over Nusa, but he suggested that they weren’t quite as advanced.

“There’s no formal bid yet but deal on, as HLN reported,” Romano wrote on X.

“Understand Nusa doesn’t want to leave in January. Deal could be done now but for the summer. Many clubs keen; Spurs now pushing.”

Tottenham hoping to strike gold in transfer market with Antonio Nusa signing

Signing Nusa would be another real coup for Tottenham. And they’ve certainly had their fair share of striking gold in the transfer market in recent years.

Spurs have signed the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie amid much interest, and they’ve gone from exciting prospects to established Premier League stars.

Likewise, Nusa is an absolutely outstanding talent who has the traits to potentially become a football superstar.

At just 18 years of age, he already has 61 competitive Brugge outings and four Norway caps under his belt, testament to just how good he is.

Last month, Romano claimed that no fewer than “ten top clubs” are monitoring Nusa, and described him as “one of most talented wingers” in the game.

“Antonio Nusa,” Romano wrote on CaughtOffside. “This exciting young talent has been linked again with Chelsea, but there are something like ten top clubs following Nusa around Europe, not just Chelsea.

“He’s one of the most talented wingers around so it’s normal, but I’m told is not something imminent or for January, more likely to be in the next months or so.”

Nusa has been nicknamed the Norwegian Neymar, the youngster himself saying – to Aftonposten as per Goal.com – he likes to “create chaos” just like the Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil wizard.

“I can see similarities to Neymar in Nusa’s movements and in the way he uses the ball,” former Stabaek teammate Mats Solheim added. “There is still a small gap between them, but he can get there.”

Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks, perhaps even days. Even if Nusa doesn’t join this month, just getting him on their books would be a real coup for Tottenham, and fans should be excited.
