Tottenham in danger of missing out on another target for Ange Postecoglou as Galatasaray lead race to sign him

TBR Football understands that Tottenham Hotspur are facing a real battle to land Milan Skriniar this month amid strong competition from Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain’s loan situation.

Tottenham are keen to add reinforcement to Ange Postecoglou’s defence with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero both struggling with injuries.

Skriniar has been made available for transfer by the French champions and the North London club have been exploring the possibility of bringing him to North London.

However, a deal for the experienced defender will be tricky as Spurs have two hurdles they must clear to stand a chance of capturing him.

Tottenham face uphill battle to sign Milan Skriniar

Galatasaray are leading Tottenham in the race to sign Milan Skriniar, however, PSG will struggle to be in a position where they can loan him out, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

As TBR Football reported last week Juventus beat Tottenham to a loan deal for Randal Kolo Muani but a deal is being held up due to PSG not having any more available loan slots.

Paris Saint-Germain are now working to resolve the issue by permanently moving on loan players so at the very least they can push through Kolo Munai’s move to Turin.

TBR Football has been told that it won’t be easy to sort two more loan deals with Kolo Muani’s move expected to get done, but for Skriniar, it remains unclear.

Who could PSG sell this month?

PSG currently have six players out on loan including Xavi Simons, Renato Sanches, Juan Bernat, Cher Ndour, Carlos Soler and Nordi Mukiele – which is the maximum limit in Ligue 1.

PSG have offered Soler to West Ham on a cut-price deal but that also appears unlikely following their change of manager.

Bernat and Ndour are the two most likely players to get moved on permanently this month with the former having just six months left on his deal and Ndour, who is on loan at Besiktas, having interest from Italian clubs.

Until two players are moved on permanently, Kolo Muani and Skiniar cannot leave the French capital.

Given the uncertainty around Skriniar, Gala are now in talks with Chelsea about a possible loan for Axel Disasi.
