Tottenham made it four Premier League wins on the spin as they defeated Leicester City 3-1 at Wembley Stadium.
Goals from Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Heung-min Son put the Foxes to the sword.
Spurs are now 10 points clear of Arsenal in fifth and boss Mauricio Pochettino looks like securing Champions League football for next season.
The game against Leicester could have swung either way.
Claude Puel’s side were in the game for large parts of it and Jamie Vardy saw a penalty saved by Hugo Lloris with the score at 1-0.
The Frenchman was in fine form between the posts and had one of his better games for Spurs.
A stunning penalty save gave his side the ascendency and allowed them to maintain their strong foothold in the contest.
Lloris is firmly established as the number one stopper at Spurs, whilst he led his country to World Cup glory during the summer.
But for the odd mistake, Lloris is seen as one of the world’s finest goalkeepers.
At 32-years-old Lloris still has plenty of years ahead of him and is one of Pochettino’s most important players.
According to Who Scored, the Spurs custodian was the Man of the Match yesterday, making an impressive nine saves.
Following the win over Leicester, Spurs supporters were out in full force on Twitter.
The club’s army of followers were quick to laud such an impressive performance and in particular offer thanks for the crucial save from Vardy’s penalty.
TBR Football rounded-up the best Tweets regarding Lloris.
Hugo Lloris was outstanding against Leicester yesterday – I’m not sure we would have got all 3 points without him

Some very questionable goalkeeping from Fulham, Huddersfield and West Ham GKs this weekend. Perhaps I should invite them into the @Go4Goal_ GK sessions to sharpen up, to be as good as Hugo Lloris 😂 #GKunion #dodgydecisions

Really enjoyed the game today, thought it was a proper football match!! Credit to Leicester who deffo made a game of it. Have to say though that Micheal Oliver’s refereeing performance was shocking!! Massive shout out to Hugo Lloris who was excellent, so glad he saved Vardys pen!

It’s simple Hugo Lloris was WORLD CLASS today in goal and hopefully showed every Spurs fan of his quality. Personally I would not swap him for any keeper in Europe. Fantastic result today against a very well drilled Leicester City side. #3FurtherPointsBanked

Today I witnessed first hand something I’d never thought I’d ever see. Hugo Lloris saving a penalty. What a day.
