Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in a move for RB Leipzig player Nordi Mukiele. That is according to a report from L’Equipe (23/04/20; pg 7), as relayed by Get French Football News.
It is suggested that Jose Mourinho and Tottenham are keen on the Frenchman as a potential solution to the club’s right-back problem.
It is claimed that Tottenham were thoroughly impressed by Mukiele’s performance against Spurs in the Champions League recently. The report claims that Spurs have made an approach to let the player’s entourage be aware of the club’s interest.

But interest from Tottenham is nothing new. In fact, Mauricio Pochettino was previously said to be very keen on the Frenchman prior to his Germany switch.
As reported by Le10 Sport in 2018, Tottenham were working hard to secure the signing of Mukiele from Montpellier.
It came after a stunning season in Ligue 1 for the versatile defender and Tottenham were regularly scouting the French under-20 international.
But it was Leipzig who won the race for Mukiele. As reported by L’Equipe, the German side paid £14 million to bring the defender in from Montpellier, with the talented defender clearly attracted by the Bundesliga’s side’s decent track record of blooding youngsters.
Now, two years down the line, Pochettino is gone but his replacement is again looking to lure Mukiele to North London. Unfortunately, he is likely to be valued at a figure way beyond the previous £14 million fee it cost the German side.
