Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer activity over the past 24 hours has largely revolved around two names. Tanguy Ndombele seems to be the number one target. As reported by Football London, confidence is growing at Spurs that the French international wants to make a move to the club this summer.

Joachim Andersen is the other name. The Daily Star claim that Tottenham can have the Dane for £31.2 million this summer. Meanwhile, the player has told both BT and DR, publications in his native Denmark, that he plans on leaving current club Sampdoria this summer.

Which is where things begin to intertwine.

Despite apparent interest from other Italian clubs, BT seem to believe French side Lyon are best placed to sign Andersen this summer. They claim an offer is on the table for the player from the club and Andersen is open to the move.

Which is interesting, as Lyon will no doubt be looking to finance such a deal with any money they make off the sale of Ndombele.

Tottenham are likely to have to pay £63 million for the French international this summer, according to Sky Sports. With that sort of money, Lyon would be able to afford the big fee for Andersen.

With the London Evening Standard reporting that Tottenham are prioritizing Ndombele over Andersen. Doing so seems to hand Lyon the chance to secure the Danish international.

It appears Tottenham and Lyon have found themselves in a transfer cycle. But if the end result is Tottenham only get Ndombele, not many fans will be left overly disappointed.
