Toby extension
Tottenham Hotspur will trigger a contract extension for Toby Alderweireld. It will take the Belgian’s current deal to 2020. However, it will also trigger a release clause.
It will allow teams to sign the player for £25 million next summer if the Belgian decides he wants to leave the club.
The centre-back, according to The Sun, is likely to be sacrificed in order to bring through young talent in the position.

£75m January sale
The Daily Mail is reporting Tottenham could offload £75 million worth of talent in January. Spurs need to sell before they buy and the likes of Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Vincent Janssen, Fernando Llorente and Michel Vorm are all up for sale.
Monaco are keen on Dembele, West Ham on Wanyama and several suitors are chasing the other names.
Tottenham will prioritise bringing in a new striker in January to back up Harry Kane.
Kane happy
Kane, however, does not believe Tottenham need to bring any players in.
Speaking to ESPN, he suggested that if Spurs cannot find ‘the right player’ then they should not rush into any January additions.
The England captain believes Tottenham have the talent in the current squad to battle for the title.
