Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with plenty of strikers over the past week or so. Ever since Harry Kane was ruled out until March with an ankle problem the list has been growing and growing.
One of the latest names to join that list is Nikola Kalinic. MARCA in Spain are reporting that Tottenham are keen on the Croatian international.

He is expected to leave current club Atletico Madrid, at least on loan, with Alvaro Morata joining from Chelsea.
A £13 million summer signing from AC Milan, Kalinic has struggled to establish himself under Diego Simeone.
He is a player with plenty of admirers. One such admirer is former Tottenham Hotspur talisman Luka Modric. The pair feature together for the Croatian national team. Of course, Kalinic left the side early in some controversy at the start of their successful World Cup campaign in the summer.
“I’m glad to hear that Kalinic wants to return to the national team. His desire and apology was a prerequisite, and his qualities are unquestionable.
“He would certainly be an important representative if everything was solved in the best possible way.”

It has since been suggested that he could return to the national fold and he apologised for the incident. Modric then made it clear he would be welcomed back.
Tottenham certainly could use another striker at the club going forward and Kalinic has the top-level experience and ability to fufill the role.
The approval of a player of Modric’s standing will certainly not damage his reputation.
