Tottenham Hotspur youngster Malachi Fagan-Walcott has shared a message with his followers on social media highlighting his successful surgery from an unknown ailment.
The teenage talent made his debut for the club against RB Leipzig back in March, the day before his 18th birthday and it is clear the 6ft 2ins talent has a future in the game.
With Japhet Tanganga and Juan Foyth both injured and the future of Jan Vertonghen uncertain, many were even wondering if Fagan-Walcott might even make his way back into the Tottenham team again over the coming weeks.
That now looks unlikely. The teenager sent a message to both Instagram and Twitter yesterday of himself recovering in a hospital bed after undergoing an undisclosed surgery.
It is not clear whether Fagan-Walcott went under the knife for an injury or another potential ailment as that information has remained private. Eric Dier underwent surgery last summer and the reason for that was never officially released and rightly so, as the players are entitled to that level of privacy.
The reason for Fagan-Walcott’s absence may become clear in the days to come but it was good to see just how many well-wishers he had.
They included former Tottenham talents like Luis Binks, Noni Madueke and Reo Griffiths, Birmingham City talent Jude Bellingham and F2 Freestyler Jeremy Lynch.
Several current Tottenham stars also wished him a speedy recovery, including Dennis Cirkin, Troy Parrott, and England international Dele Alli.
Hopefully, Fagan-Walcott can recover as soon as possible and get back playing football in time for next season.
Who knows? he might be needed back in the first-team again.
