Tottenham Hotspur star Victor Wanyama may have to move abroad as report claims ‘limited interest’

Victor Wanyama may need to move abroad this summer if he wants an exit from Tottenham Hotspur, according to new report.

The arrival of Tanguy Ndombele has certainly cast Wanyama’s future at Spurs into doubt. The French international arrived in a deal reported by The Independent to be in the region of £55 million this summer.

Wanyama’s poor form and injury record in recent seasons has left him in line for the chop at Tottenham as a consequence. However, the Daily Mail is suggesting he will not be a player in high demand.

They suggest that there has been ‘limited interest’ in the Kenyan international this summer. The report suggests Wanyama did not previously consider a move abroad as the former Southampton and Celtic man wanted his British residency to kick in. Now that he is set to receive a UK passport the Mail claims a move abroad could be on the cards.

Wanyama would clearly like to remain in the UK. He has made a strong career for himself both in Scotland and England.

But it seems his recent struggles might have clubs in England uncertain over a potential transfer pursuit.

Whether he stays at Tottenham or not, fans at the club will be hoping the Kenyan can find his best form again next season.
