Tottenham Hotspur lost their second Champions League game in midweek, going down 4-2 to Barcelona at Wembley. But whilst Barcelona got the win, rumours have suggested that one of their players was not happy after the game.
Sport in Spain has reported that Arturo Vidal was furious after the game as he continues to play a peripheral role for his new team.
Vidal joined Barca from Bayern Munich in the summer, for a deal reportedly in the region of £16 million. However, he has found getting ahead of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho and Arthur difficult and is said to be annoyed at that situation.
One team who should definitely take notice of this fact is Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs are lacking bodies in the centre of the park. With Mousa Dembele also coming to the end of his time with the club, a new midfield maestro is desperately needed.
Vidal would certainly bring what Tottenham need in that area and Argentine boss Mauricio Pochettino would be able to offer him a Spanish-speaking escape from the Catalan giants.
Vidal, who has 100 caps for Chile, would be an excellent addition to the Tottenham team, even if just on loan in the winter window.
He would bring an experience and bite that the Tottenham midfield has often lacked, especially in the big games.
Tottenham should certainly be keeping tabs on this situation.
