Tottenham Hotspur round-up: Wembley agreement, Son international hopes and Aurier was wanted

A selection of the latest news and gossip from Tottenham Hotspur.

Wembley deal

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with the FA to have the option of playing at Wembley Stadium until the New Year. According to The Sun, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has activated an option to play at Wembley until 2019.

This is due to their 62,000-seater new stadium not yet being ready.

It was expected Tottenham would play just one game at Wembley this season, but it now appears it will be many more.

There is no report on the fee Tottenham might have paid.

Son hopes

Heung-min Son has been speaking about his hopes at the Asian Games. The South Korean star spoke of his team’s chances of winning the tournament, which starts this month.

He has arrived in Indonesia for the tournament and success could be important for his Tottenham future.

If Son can win the tournament, it is expected he will receive a pardon from military service in his homeland. If not, the attacker can expect to do two years service or face banishment.

Aurier wanted

Serge Aurier was a wanted man this summer, according to RMC Sport.

They claim Atletico Madrid made an enquiry for the player, after losing World Cup finalist Sime Vrsaljko to Inter Milan.

However, despite Aurier being a sub for most of last season, Tottenham rejected a deal.

The report claims the Ivorian is wanted by Borussia Dortmund, but has decided to remain a Tottenham player for the near future.
