Vertonghen boost

Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful that Jan Vertonghen may be fit for the upcoming clashes with Chelsea and Arsenal.

The Belgian has been back in training for Spurs and is hopeful of a return to the team for the games.

He even posted this tweet on his personal Twitter account:

Vertonghen has been out of action with a hamstring problem.

Eriksen future

Mauricio Pochettino has adressed recent rumours surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future at the club. The Danish star has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his current deal expiring in 2020.

Speaking to the press ahead of the weekend clash with Chelsea he stated that Tottenham are ‘working so hard’ to find the right deal and that Eriksen would ‘take the best decision’ on his future.

Nkoudou exit likely

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou’s agent has been discussing his future at the club. Meissa N’Diaye insisted to France Football that his client has improved in his time at Spurs but that he now needs a move. He stated that the ‘idea is to leave’ Spurs in the January transfer window.

He also spoke of the failure of Nkoudou to leave in the summer, placing the ‘responsiblity’ on the club for ‘economic reasons’.
