Rabiot to Barca

Adrien Rabiot has recently been linked with Tottenham Hotspur. The PSG midfielder is out of contract in the summer and is set to leave on a free transfer.

The Mirror recently reported that Tottenham will not give up on the player’s signature, who could be seen as a perfect replacement for Mousa Dembele.

However, according to Le Parisien, he is likely to join Barcelona. It had previously been suggested that Barca’s agreed move for Ajax star Frenkie de Jong negated the need to sign the Frenchman. However, it appears the Catalan side remain keen and are favourites for his signature.

£34m no barrier

Compensation will not be an issue for Manchester United if they decide that Mauricio Pochettino is the man to take over as first-team manager.

The London Evening Standard reports that Ed Woodward remains keen on the Argentine but that any move to Old Trafford would involve a fee of plus £34 million.

If United decide to try for Pochettino over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they would be willing to pay a vast amount to do so. The decision may ultimately lie with Pochettino.
