Poch ‘proud’
Mauricio Pochettino has had his say on ‘that’ challenge by Eric Dier. The England midfielder put in a crunching tackle on Sergio Ramos during England’s historic win over Spain this week.
It was an old-school tackle that would have been applauded 30 years ago, but which cost the Tottenham man a yellow card.
Pochettino said he was ‘very proud’ of the player’s desire in the win against Spain. He praised the performance of all four of his Spurs players in the game, Dier, Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Kieran Trippier.

Elmas linked
Tottenham are reportedly keen on Macedonian talent Eljif Elmas. Turkish Football is reporting that Spurs join Manchester City and Sevilla in the hunt for the 19-year-old.
The former Rabotnicki player, who already has five-caps for his nation, has been one of the few shining lights in a difficult campaign for Fenerbahce this season.
Dack wanted
Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly launch a shock move for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack. The London Evening Standard reports that Spurs are keeping tabs on the Championship star ahead of a potential January move.
The 24-year-old, who has scored eight times this season, has been one of the stars of the second-tier this season but such a move would be a shock from Spurs.
