Eriksen speaks

Christian Eriksen has been linked with a £40 million move to Real Madrid this week but the Danish midfielder has played down the importance of such reports.

Speaking after Denmark’s 0-0 draw with Ireland he stated fans should ’not believe’ any reports as there are so many of them.

He did not, however, provide an update on his potential new contract.

Rice wanted

Tottenham are joining the race to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United. The Sun is reporting that Spurs are hoping to beat Chelsea and Manchester United to his signature as West ham struggle to negotiate a new contract with the talented utility man.

The 19-year-old has emerged as a star for West Ham recently and Tottenham are on the hunt for a new centre-back with Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen approaching the end of their current contracts.

Edwards deal

Tottenham Hotspur winger Marcus Edwards does not have a clause in his current loan deal to make it permanent. Football.London is reporting that the highly rated attacker is not set to join Excelsior Rotterdam on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The report claims Spurs will take another look at the teenager next summer, after a full season of regular football.
