Diawara interest

Calciomercato has been reporting on the future of Amadou Diawara at Napoli. The Guinea midfielder is set to be targeted by Wolves this winter. The report claimes that Spurs were very keen on the player in the summer.

They suggest that Napoli refused an offer of €38 million (£33 million) for the player from Tottenham this summer.

The midfielder is looking likely to leave Napoli in the months to come and Tottenham will no doubt be keeping tabs on developments.

Trippier injury

Kieran Trippier is out of England’s upcoming games against the United States and Croatia. The right-back picked up a groin injury against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

After reporting for international duty on Monday he was assessed by the England physio staff and was told he would return to Tottenham.

Sissoko on title

Moussa Sissoko insists Tottenham are title challengers. The Frenchman was speaking ahead of international duty with France, after receiving a recall.

He suggested that Tottenham do ‘have the quality’ to battle with Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal for the title.

Sissoko has been in better form this term for the club this season, winning over some of his previous doubters.
