Tottenham Hotspur round-up: Shaw wanted, Alli injured and Winks recovery

A selection of the latest news and gossip from Tottenham Hotspur.

Shaw wanted

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino still wants to bring in Luke Shaw. The Sun report that Spurs see Shaw as a potential replacement for Danny Rose.

The England international, who recently made his way back into the national set-up, first found Premier League success with Southampton when the Argentine was manager.

The defender is out of contract in the summer and is believed to be making Manchester United wait on his decision to stay or not after a difficult time at Old Trafford.

Alli injury

Dele Alli has pulled out of the England squad. The Tottenham youngster has a minor muscle strain and will miss the friendly with Switzerland tomorrow night.

The talented midfielder picked up an injury in the 2-1 defeat to Spain at Wembley at the weekend.

It is not known if Alli will miss any action at club level.

Winks return

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks says he will be back to his best soon as gets close to a return from injury.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, he revealed he is pleased to be back in action after nearly 10 months of injury trouble.

Winks had an excellent campaign last season and is now hoping he can get straight back to that level of form.
