Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has laughed off suggestions his side might be able to bring Gareth Bale back to North London this summer.
Speaking after the club’s penalty shoot-out loss to Barcelona in the USA the Argentine stated that a deal to bring Bale back to Spurs was ‘not realistic’.
The Welshman left Spurs in what was then a world record transfer fee back in 2013 but his future at the club has been in doubt recently.
It appears Vincent Janssen’s move to Fenerbahce could be in jeopardy. According to Milliyet, the Istanbul club are considering pulling out of a loan deal for the Dutchman.
The report claims his compatriot and Fenerbahce manager Phillip Cocu is not convinced by his fellow Dutchman and is looking at potential alternatives to the Tottenham star.
It would be a blow to Spurs, who are hoping to get Janssen off the club’s books.
Concerns over a knee injury for Moussa Sissoko have been allayed. The Frenchman suffered the problem against Barcelona and it looked like it could be a serious knock for the first-team player.
However, the injury has been put down to tiredness and should not be a serious injury for the Frenchman.
Tottenham have suffered a number of injuries in pre-season, with Juan Foyth, Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela all picking up issues in the USA.
