Tottenham Hotspur round-up: Malcom reduction, Dembele now number one target, Parker leaves

All the latest news and gossip from Tottenham Hotspur.

Malcom boost

Tottenham’s interest in Brazilian winger Malcom has come to the fore in France once again.

Le10 Sport is reporting today that Inter Milan, despite their constant pursuit of the player, have failed to meet the demands of Bordeaux and will continue to do so.

The Brazilian was previously valued at €50 million (£44.1 million), but that is about to change. Bordeaux fear they have priced the 21-year-old out of a move, and have therefore lowered their asking price to €40 million (£35.3 million).

Tottenham and Bayern Munich are now said to be the favourites to secure his signature.

Dembele number one target

Despite reports of previous interest, it is now being reported that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is now the number one target for Inter Milan this summer.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in the Belgian has been reported previously, but until now it has not been considered their first-choice.

But, according to Calciomercato, Dembele is now the number one target ahead of Malcom and Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.

Parker leaves

Tottenham Hotspur have lost Scott Parker to Fulham. The former Spurs midfielder was in charge of the Spurs under-18s last season, where he was taking his first steps into the management game.

However, he has now been given a job on the first-team at Craven Cottage. Parker will take up the role of first-team coach at Fulham – another of his former clubs during his playing days.

Parker’s former assistant, Matt Wells, will take up the role of Spurs’ under-18s coach.

Inter- Milan can hardly be seen as a prime suitor when what they are offering always includes things that the other club doesn’t want. What is it now? 10 million plus a used beverage dispenser and a dozen towels ? Get serious.
