Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in Croatian star Mateo Kovacic. The Real Madrid man has confirmed he wants to leave the club this summer, with a £44 million price-tag being mentioned.
Spurs are now said to be interested, but face competition from four other teams. AS reports that Spurs will need to beat Roma, Inter Milan, Juventus and Manchester United to his signature this summer.
Stand up for safe standing
Tottenham Hotspur have set up an area for safe standing at their new ground, in case of a law change.
The issue of standing at grounds in the Uk will be debated in parliament on Monday following a petition on the matter.
Spurs have ‘future-proofed’ their stadium for it to be easily adapted should safe-standing rules be applied in the future.
Tottenham should begin playing at their new stadium from the 15th September, when they take on Liverpool.
Lloris on Eriksen
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been talking up the club’s midfielder Christian Eriksen. The pair will face off tomorrow, as Denmark take on France in the World Cup. Speaking to the press, and quoted by ESPN, the Tottenham captain stated that the playmaker could play ‘at any club’.
Eriksen has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in recent times, as a potential replacement for club legend Andres Iniesta.
