Jack has hope

Tottenham Hotspur have finally made a bid for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish. The London club have not yet made a transfer window signing and are running out of time to make any new additions.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have lodged a £25 million bid for the player, which will not meet Villa’s demands.

However, the player is hopeful he can still force through a move. He was told he could leave the club this summer, before new owners arrived with a rescue package for the cash-strapped club. The turnaround has left the midfield playmaker disappointed and disillusioned.

Now Aston Villa want to keep him but Grealish is open to a Tottenham switch.

Super Mario

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting a potential loan move for Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario. According to the Mirror the Portugal international is hopeful of making a move to North London.

He spent part of last season on loan at West Ham and enjoyed his time in the UK. The midfielder, who cost Inter Milan £35 million in 2016, now wants to secure another switch to a London club and Tottenham appear to be leading the race.

The 25-year-old played four times at the World Cup this summer.

Fantastic four

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham want to complete four transfers before the deadline shuts tomorrow evening.

The report claims Spurs want a centre-back, a defensive midfielder and a new striker – with Grealish number four.

Tottenham have less than 24 hours to make the moves happen and fans will hope for a busy day tomorrow at Hotspur Way.
