Tottenham Hotspur round-up: Grealish fight, Lobotka targeted and Alderweireld hoping

Grealish pursuit

Plenty of media sources are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the transfer of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. Spurs have been linked with the English talent for most of the summer.

Whilst Steve Bruce has stated to Sky Sports the player is not for sale he expects a fight to keep hold of the playmaker this summer.

It will be interesting to see whether Grealish features for Aston Villa in their opening game of the season against Hull City this evening.

Lobotka wanted

Tottenham Hotspur are also being linked with a late bid for Slovakia international Stanislav Lobotka this week.

The Mirror suggest that Spurs have identified the 23-year-old as a potential replacement for Mousa Dembele.

The Celta Vigo man would cost £31 million and Tottenham have just four days to make a deal happen.

Toby sure, Toby sure

The transfer saga involving Toby Alderweireld continues to rumble on this summer. The London Evening Standard has confirmed today that the Belgian is hopeful he can leave the club before Thursday.

Manchester United want the player, but have not met his asking price and refuse to include Anthony Martial as part of any deal.

This deal could rumble on until the very last minute of the transfer window.
