Tottenham Hotspur will not only have to battle Barcelona for Ajax youngster Frenkie de Jong, according to reports.
Real Madrid are also keen on the £45 million Dutch international.
Spurs and Barcelona have been linked with a January interest throughout the past week. However, Real are also keen as they start to consider refreshing their squad.
OK Diario is reporting the Dutchman would be very happy to move to the Bernabeu, where he is being earmarked as a potential successor to Toni Kroos or Luka Modric.
Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld insists he is very happy to have remained at Spurs this summer. The Belgian is locked in a contract standstill with the club at present, which saw him linked with a move to Manchester United among others.
But speaking to the press this week he insists he was never near to leaving the club and is happy to have won his place back in the starting XI.
Tottenham have turned their attention to Ben Chilwell in their hunt for a new left-back. The Leicester City star, who could make his England debut tonight, is reportedly a target to replace Danny Rose – according to the Telegraph.
Any deal would take place next summer, with Leicester unlikely to sell to a Premier League rival mid-season.
