Tottenham Hotspur’s Ivorian right-back has vowed to usurp Kieran Trippier as the first-choice right-back at Spurs. The former PSG man told ESPN it is ‘his time’ to shine with Trippier still missing after his World Cup heroics with England.
Signed last summer for £23 million he was tasked with taking over from Kyle Walker, who had joined Manchester City.
However, Aurier struggled to find form at Spurs and Trippier was the outstanding option.
Janssen exit looming
Vincent Janssen is closing in on an exit from Tottenham. The print version of Fanatik in Turkey, as relayed by Sports Witness, are reporting the Dutch international is nearing a second loan move in as many years to the Istanbul club.
The report claims that Fener will pay a €2 million (£1.8 million) loan fee for the player.
His season at the club was disrupted by injury last season but Fenerbahce still believe he can be a hit in Turkey.
Tottenham captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has emerged as a transfer target for Real Madrid.
The Sun claim Los Merengues want the Frenchman in a £60 million deal this summer.
Real want to replace Keylor Navas with a world-class option and Lloris has emerged as such a target.
However, it seems Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois appears to be a more likely target.
