Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wanted Corentin Tolisso back in 2017

Tottenham Hotspur could be offered the chance to sign Corentin Tolisso from Bayern Munich this summer, according to ESPN.

The report claims that Tanguy Ndombele is ready to leave Tottenham after falling out with boss Jose Mourinho.

The German side are said to be keen on the player and could offer the World Cup winner to the North London club.

It would certainly be a decent deal for Tottenham, especially if Ndombele is adamant on his exit from the club.

Mauricio Pochettino would certainly approve of Tolisso’s arrival, even if he would be disappointed to see that his club-record signing was going the other way.

Back in 2017, Tottenham were being heavily linked with a move for the then Lyon star. The Argentine was said to be keen on bringing the combative midfield creator to North London, along with several other top clubs, as reported by L’Equipe.

Unfortunately, Tolisso joined Bayern Munich later that summer for a club-record fee of €41.5 million (Guardian) for the German side.

Tottenham eventually failed to bring in any midfield recruits that summer.

Now, just three years later, and after an injury damaged spell in Bavaria, it seems Tottenham could now have a chance to finally get a hold of the 25-year-old, who still has plenty to offer.
