Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth is wanted on loan at Ajax this summer. It is reported by Dutch website Voetball Primeur report, via Radio La Red, that Foyth is a target for Ajax as their bid for Boca Juniors defender Lisandro Magallan continues to drag on.
Foyth joined Spurs from Estudiantes last summer for a fee in the region of £8 million but has had to bide his time for first-team football.
Ajax are hoping that their close links with Spurs, who have signed numerous players from the club in the past, will give them a chance of securing a loan move for the Argentine.
Foyth would gain regular first-team football at Ajax and the Dutch side clearly hope that can be enough to push through a deal.
Tottenham are waiting to discover their Premier League fixtures before making a final decision on where they will start next season.
Spurs have been given a further extension to 24 hours after the release of the fixtures on Thursday, at which point they will need to decide whether they will start next season at their new home or at Wembley.
Work on Spurs’ new stadium has overrun and it appears they could have to start next season at the home of English football once again.
Tottenham were linked with a move for Barcelona wonderkid Riqui Puig this summer. However, that deal will clearly not be happening. Spurs will not be getting hold of the player, as he has signed a new three-year deal at Barcelona.
Not only that but according to Football.London a €100 million (£87.8 million) release clause has been placed in the 18-year-old’s contract.
That would seemingly rule out anyone’s chances of signing the teenage talent in the foreseeable future.
