Mini-Messi heading out
Marcus Edwards is said to be considering his future at Tottenham Hotspur. The Guardian report that the 19-year-old sees no future for himself at the club as Mauricio Pochettino looks to more experienced international players to forge a title challenge.
The teenager will, therefore, look to leave the club permanently this summer, leaving many disappointed he has not been given a chance at Spurs.
He spent a spell on loan at Norwich City last season, which turned out to be a disaster and he left early.
Once compared to Lionel Messi by Pochettino the teen will now hope he can prove himself elsewhere and leave Tottenham ruing a potentially big mistake.
No to De Ligt
Despite reports to the contrary, it seems Tottenham Hotspur are not interested in a move for Dutch international defender Matthijs De Ligt this summer.
The 18-year-old has been earmarked by many as a potential replacement for the seemingly outgoing Toby Alderweireld.
However, Football.London says no deal will go ahead this summer for the teenage superstar, who is also wanted by Barcelona and Juventus.
It comes after Tutto Mercato Web reported yesterday that the North London club had made a £48.1 million bid for the player.
Tottenham Hotspur have joined the increasingly crowded hunt to sign Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles.
The London Evening Standard is suggesting that Spurs are keen on the player, who is also wanted by Chelsea, Everton and Liverpool.
The report suggests Newcastle will be willing to do business for a fee in the region of £45 million for one of the best performing defenders in the Premier League last season.
