The performance of Giovani Lo Celso really caught the eye and called for Spurs fans to demand he be signed permanently.

Spurs signed the playmaker on loan from Real Betis in the summer and injury has hampered his progress.

The 23-year-old has started just four games for his new club but last night he really showed what he is all about.

Tottenham will make the deal permanent in the summer with an obligatory clause placed in the contract.

After last night’s showing, there will surely be a clamour from supporters to get him to sign the contract.

Lo Celso was magnificent in his central midfield role. He stepped up and highlighted exactly what he is capable of.
