Tottenham Hotspur defeated West Ham United 2-0 in the Premier League yesterday evening. A Tomas Soucek own goal and a Harry Kane finish secured all three points for Jose Mourinho’s side as they continue to fight for a Champions League spot.
For Tottenham fans, it was a game of positives, with Giovani Lo Celso the overwhelming one. The Argentine was sensational throughout, whilst Ben Davies, Eric Dier, and Moussa Sissoko also shone.
But one player, who gets his fair share of stick from the Tottenham fanbase, who had a good day at the office was Serge Aurier.
The Ivorian full-back has been criticised on numerous occasions for, admittedly, some dreadful defensive displays.

However, against West Ham, the attacking right-back might have one of his best ever games in a Tottenham shirt, according to some fans.
With Ben Davies supplying defensive support on the left, Aurier was given the freedom to bomb down the right and have West Ham constantly on the back-foot.
He also delivered some dangerous crosses into the area which, once Harry Kane is back to his full fitness, the Englishman would undoubtedly be on the end of.
Aurier has received plenty of, arguably deserved, stick this season so to see him playing so well had plenty of Tottenham fans taking to Twitter, pleasantly surprised.
