Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is in line for an England recall, according to The Mirror. Gareth Southgate is set to ring the changes with his England squad after UEFA Nations League disappointment in the summer.
Winks will be named in the Three Lions squad again to bolster the midfield options. England have two European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo – both at Wembley – in early September.

There are two main gripes that Tottenham fans have with Winks’ reported call-up. Firstly, it increases his chance of picking up another injury. He missed England’s last international games through injury and some fans do not want him risked.
The other problem is that the 23-year-old is out of form. Winks has been criticised for his early-season performances. Spurs are looking for a creative spark in the midfield with Christian Eriksen’s future in the balance but Winks has been erratic.
But he will be hoping for more success on the international stage as he plans to add to his three caps. Here are some tweets capturing the fans’ opinion after reports broke suggesting Winks is set for an England recall.
