Tottenham Hotspur fans react to reportedly being in pole position for Tanguy Ndombele
Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be a potential option for the French star.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in the hunt for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer. L’Equipe has recently reported that Spurs have made a bid to sign the player, with Juventus and PSG also keen.
Now, Le10 Sport are reporting that Tottenham are in pole position when it comes to securing his transfer.
It appears the promise of regular first-team football, playing in England and working under Mauricio Pochettino might be enough to convince the French international that Tottenham is, in fact, his best bet.
The stories from France have certainly got Tottenham fans talking on Twitter.

Ndombele would be the perfect replacement for Mousa Dembele in the centre of midfield. Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama have struggled to step up a gear this season and Ndombele would be a major upgrade.
So undoubtedly Tottenham fans want to see this deal happen.
However, many are struggling to believe it. Tottenham fans are never overly confident of chairman Daniel Levy’s ability to get transfer deals done and on this occasion, it is no different. Considering the level of rival interest and a recently reported transfer fee of £87 million (L’Equipe), it is easy to see where the cynicism comes from.
Here is some of the best reaction to the reports from Tottenham fans on Twitter…
Please god this one gets over the line. He will take us to the next level alongside sissoko and winks.

Getting a player in ahead of pre-season will help – Poch can work with them, rather than a last minute deadline day signing when the season is about to start, or mid season for that matter

Makes sense. He is a beast and plays in the position we most need to address this summer. With Dembele gone and Wanyama likely leaving as well.

Will be shocked if he chooses us over Juventus or PSG

this would be a magnificent signing but feel it’s to good to be true

Would completely transform our midfield. Get it done Levy

He would be my number one target. Top top midfielder. Strong like our old Dembelle too. He’d be a massive improvement on Wanyama or Dier
