Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a report the club could make a move for Benfica full-back Tomas Tavares.
The Sunday People claimed over the weekend (23/8, page 58) that Spurs and Serie A side Atalanta are keen on the teenager.

The reported interest comes amid speculation over the future of Serge Aurier, who has been linked with AC Milan over the past couple of weeks or so.
The Ivorian could well depart after three years in north London, meaning there would be need for cover on the right side of defence.
Jose Mourinho experimented with Gedson Fernandes at right-back against Ipswich Town on Saturday, while Juan Foyth has also shown the versatility to cover.
Right-back Tavares is supposedly valued around the £9 million markby his club, but with Atlanta also in the picture, there’s a chance to price could ultimately be driven up a bit.

Last term, the youngster made 12 Liga NOS appearances and also featured five times in the Champions League.
Tavares may feel compelled to join up with fellow countrymen Mourinho and Benfica loanee Fernandes at Spurs, with Brazilian Lucas Moura and Englishman Eric Dier also Portuguese speakers.
On Twitter, there was a positive consensus among Tottenham fans:
