Tottenham Hotspur fans react to Max Aarons display in FA Cup loss

Tottenham Hotspur are out of the FA Cup following a penalty shoot-out defeat to Norwich City last night.

The Canaries had goalkeeper Tim Krul to thank as the Dutchman performed heroics during penalties to claim a place in the final eight.

It was a tough game for Tottenham fans, with plenty of players underperforming and the lack of an out-and-out striker still clearly a cause for concern.

But some fans were looking on the brighter side of things, regarding the performance of several Norwich City players. In particular, Tottenham fans were full of praise for the right-back Max Aarons.

Tottenham have been linked with his signature for well over a year now, with right-back clearly an issue for the club.

Serge Aurier struggles with consistency whilst the club never truly replaced Kieran Trippier in the summer.

In January, the Daily Mail suggested that Norwich were looking for a £30 million fee for the player, with Tottenham one of the teams in the hunt.

The Mail later reported that Jose Mourinho might not be as keen on Aarons as the Tottenham fans. Judging by how they reacted to the 20-year-old’s display last night Aarons’ arrival would be very welcome..
