Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has handed the club a boost by returning to training after a hip injury.
The club-record signing was forced to miss the last two Premier League matches and four in all competitions with the issue, but could be in contention for the game with Norwich City on Wednesday.
Ndombele has endured an injury-hit start to his Spurs career following his big-money summer transfer from Lyon.
Various issues have limited him to 20 appearances so far, and recently Mourinho appeared to express his frustrations over the player’s apparent fragility (Metro).
He will now hope to string a run of games together, something he has had trouble doing since December.
Tottenham fans would certainly like to see that given the hype he arrived at the club with.
The dynamo has shown his ability in mere glimpses so far, and the hope is that he’ll be able to finish the season strongly after an average start.
With Moussa Sissoko out until April, Spurs need their other Frenchman to provide the driving force in midfield.
Tottenham fans react
Some Spurs fans were delighted to learn of Ndombele’s return to first-team training, with many expressing their hope to see him kick on after his latest setback:
