Tottenham Hotspur fans react as Hoffenheim players support Ryan Sessegnon after racist abuse

It has been a tough week for Tottenham Hotspur’s young talent Ryan Sessegnon. The England under-21 star is currently out on loan at Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and this week he was subjected to some abhorrent racial abuse through Instagram that he went public with on social media. 

Even more upsettingly, Sessegnon even admitted that he was no longer surprised at some of the abuse he receives from so-called football fans regarding the colour of skin. 

However, his team-mates at the German club have shown complete solidarity with the youngster during their Europa League clash with Slovan Liberec. 

Hoffenheim won the game 5-0 and after scoring their first goal they stood in unison to show their support for Sessegnon, who remained on the bench for the fixture, and denounce racism. 

It was an incident that has not gone unnoticed back at his parent club. 

Not only have a host of fans tweeted the youngster to let him know of their support but Tottenham Hotspur even tweeted themselves to make it clear that they stand with him in his fight against this rotten problem.
