Tottenham Hotspur defensive target Youcef Atal shows what else he can do with brilliant goal

It may not be the striker that some Tottenham Hotspur fans are hopeful of signing, but the North London club have been linked with a move for young Nice right-back Youcef Atal.

The Algerian is reportedly a target for Mauricio Pochettino. A report from Le10 Sport suggests that Atal would be seen as a replacement for Serge Aurier, who has reportedly lost faith from the Argentine. Kieran Trippier’s form this season has also been a concern so Spurs could be on the hunt for the youngster.  PSG and Atletico Madrid are also keen on the player.

Tottenham fans would like to see a replacement for Trippier, with his performances failing to impress fans this season.

Yesterday, Atal showed exactly what he can bring.

Whilst it is his excellent defensive ability and insatiable running that will have Tottenham interested, Atal can clearly score goals as well.

Nice defeated Nimes on Ligue 1 action yesterday, with Atal opening the scoring in the 41st minute. He fired home from an acute angle, sending the home fans into rapture.

It was a second goal of the season for the former Kortrijk star and Tottenham are right to be keeping tabs on this talented young man.
