Tottenham Hotspur may have suffered at the hands of Marcus Edwards in midweek, but the way things are going, Spurs stand to profit from his heroics.
Edwards came through the ranks at Tottenham and was considered one of the brightest talents in his age group.
Mauricio Pochettino likened the youngster to Lionel Messi and tipped him to potentially become a top player.

However, Edwards ended up making just one senior appearance for Tottenham.
In 2019, he decided to embark on a new challenge by joining Vitoria de Guimaraes.
One of the conditions for Edwards’ departure was for Tottenham to have 50 percent of any transfer he makes.
And this could prove to be a huge masterstroke from Daniel Levy in wake of Edwards’ progress.
In January this year, Sporting CP signed him from Vitoria, and he already looks ready for another step up.
A Bola – via Sport Witness – claim that Sporting plan to sell him for a sizeable fee.
Apparently, they want the same level as the likes of Nuno Mendes, Matheus Nunes and Bruno Fernandes.
And right now, only something close to his €60m (£52m) release clause would convince them to negotiate.

As per the Edwards clause, Tottenham would wind up with a £26m windfall.
So while Edwards may have denied Spurs victory in midweek, it may have proven a blessing in the long run.
Tottenham are still well placed to qualify from the Champions League group stages, though it means Marseille has a lot more riding on it than they would’ve liked.
But Edwards may have put himself further out in the shop window, and with the January transfer window looming, it could mean a nice profit for Spurs and Sporting.
