Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a mystery La Liga midfielder recently. Today, it has seemingly emerged that the player in question is Valencia talent, Carlos Soler.
As reported by ESPN, Spurs want the talented Spaniard with a £30 million offer potentially in the offing. A deal is likely to be done in the summer if Tottenham can push it through.
It would be a fantastic signing for Tottenham and would help Spurs in their midfield positions. However, that £30 million price-tag will be a hard-sell regarding convincing Valencia.

As reported by Sport in January last year, Valencia agreed a new contract with the player. That deal upped his release clause to a massive €80 million (£69.3 million). It is hard to see Tottenham paying that much.
However, had they shown their interest before that, Valencia would have had to sell for a lot less. Because, as reported by AS, his previous release clause was set at just €30 million (£26 million).
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is always open to a bargain and at just £26 million 18 months ago Spurs could have had the future of their midfield secured. Instead, they could face paying over double for the same player.
