This week, reports in Argentina have suggested that Everton are interested in talented River Plate midfielder Sanitago Sosa. But it appears they are not the only Premier League team with the youngster on their radar.
As reported by La Nacion, Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keeping tabs on the player. Sosa, who will be featuring for Argentina at the under-20s World Cup in Poland this summer, is a top talent. With a release clause reported by La Nacion to be in the region of €15 million (£13 million) he could be a shrewd investment.
If Everton and Tottenham were to both go in for the player, then surely Tottenham would have the advantage.
Spurs are, of course, managed by an Argentine themselves. Mauricio Pochettino would be an instant draw for the defensive midfielder in London.
On top of that, the club have three Argentine talents in the first team, Paolo Gazzaniga, Juan Foyth and Erik Lamela.
In terms of settling in, Sosa would clearly have an easier time if he headed to Spurs and not Everton in the summer.
