Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to offer Christian Eriksen a staggering £200,000-a-week to stay in North London when his contract expires.
The Dane has been the subject of intense interest from interested parties with the playmaker now in the last year of his current deal.
According to the Daily Mail, the club is now preparing to more than double Eriksen’s salary in an attempt to persuade him to stay.
Tottenham value one of their prized assets at £100 million but could see him leave for nothing at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Both Real Madrid and Juventus were interested in the attacking midfielder but a move never came to fruition prior to the English transfer window slamming shut.
Eriksen came off the bench on Saturday to help Spurs come from a goal behind to defeat Aston Villa 3-1.
The 27-year-old has been at Tottenham for six years, playing over 200 games for the club.
TBR Verdict
Securing Eriksen to a longer contract would represent a massive plus for Tottenham, who had perhaps been resigned to losing their star man.
Having only landed a few players during the transfer window, keeping Eriksen to a longer deal might actually be like a new addition.

He was instrumental to the team as they went on a run to the Champions League Final last season and showcased his quality from the bench in Saturday’s season opener.
In 278 appearances for Tottenham, he has scored 49 goals and registered 64 assists. His quality is there for all to see and if Spurs have £200,000-a-week spare, they should definitely use it to tie Eriksen down.
