Norwich City have won promotion to the Premier League. A 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers proved enough to secure their place in the top-flight at Carrow Road yesterday evening.

The success has been largely down to the excellent performances of young talented individuals at the club, including Max Aarons.

His performances at right-back have been fantastic and they certainly have caught the eye.

One team said to be keen on his services is Tottenham Hotspur.

As reported by The Mirror in February, Tottenham have scouted the player extensively, with a £15 million price-tag reportedly on his head.

But promotion has surely ended Spurs’ hopes of signing the player. It is a similar tale to that involving Ryan Sessegnon last summer. Tottenham were constantly linked with a move for the talented player who had just taken the Championship by storm.

However, after Fulham secured promotion to the Premier League, Tottenham’s chances dissipated.

Aarons is now in a similar position. After securing promotion he will surely want a chance to shine with his current club in the top-flight.

Tottenham, who are looking for a replacement for the out of sorts Kieran Trippier, may have to look elsewhere this season.
