Report: Tottenham think they can sign 'incredible' two-time title-winner and they're willing to wait until next summer

Tottenham Hotspur believe they can complete the signing of Ajax star, Mohammed Kudus, according to reports from Ghana Web.

The report from Ghana Web claims Spurs have been tracking Kudus for six months and they are hopeful they can do a relatively simple deal with Ajax. The midfielder, 22, has already been capped 16 times by Ghana and has won the Dutch title twice with Ajax already in his career.

Dubbed an ‘incredible talent‘ by Erik ten Hag, Spurs are believed to be hoping to land Kudus this summer but are open to waiting until the summer of 2023 to get the deal done. Antonio Conte is believed to have had his scouts watching since the turn of the year, with Kudus a player he’s keen to develop.

Predominantly a central midfielder, Kudus can fill in pretty much anywhere between the number six and ten positions.

Known for his energetic performances, he didn’t quite manage to nail down a regular place with Ajax last season, making just the 16 appearances for the Dutch giants.

Tottenham have already splashed the cash this summer to the tune of £100m+. However, more new signings could arrive, with Fabio Paratici very much still looking to wheel and deal.

It’s probably unlikely Kudus just walks into the Tottenham XI but like so many they have, he is a player that can be worked on for the future and contribute now if needed.

Just like the signings of Spence and Richarlison, Kudus would have to get time from Conte and the club to buy into the methods of the Italian. However, this is a player of high quality, and two Dutch titles are nothing to shout down.
