Tottenham Hotspur are interested in two Serie A forwards this summer, with reports claiming that they are keen on Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez.

Dybala’s future has been a real talking point in recent days with the Argentinian deciding that he is going to leave Juventus on a free transfer this summer.

Every European heavyweight is likely to now consider him. And it does seem that he will have the chance to move to the Premier League.

Tuttosport reports that Tottenham and Arsenal want Dybala. However, it seems that they have already been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the 28-year-old.

Tuttosport reports that Dybala would currently prefer to stay in Italy. And with that, Inter Milan have now moved themselves into pole position, it seems.

However, there is a problem for Inter. And that could prove to be good news for Tottenham.

Tuttosport notes that the Nerazzurri must create a lot of space on the wage bill before they can sign Dybala.

Inter may have various options in mind. But there is surely one way they can create enough space immediately – and that is selling Martinez.

Tottenham hopes of signing Martinez may be boosted if Dybala ends up at Inter Milan

Reports claimed that Tottenham want Martinez once again this summer. Dybala’s countryman has a £75 million asking price. And he is likely to be earning a hefty amount in wages.

Obviously, it is not ideal for Spurs. A free transfer for Dybala represents better value. However, Martinez is one of the most exciting forwards playing in Europe right now.

He has 16 goals in all competitions. And his recent strike against Liverpool was lauded as ‘really brilliant‘ by Jurgen Klopp.

Perhaps Tottenham may prioritise a move for Dybala given his contract situation. But missing out may pave the way for Antonio Conte to sign another fantastic target.
