Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy needs to do whatever it takes to get key player Christian Eriksen to commit his future to the North London club.
According to the Sun, Champions League holders Real Madrid are planning a £40million bid for the Denmark international.
The 26-year-old has just 18 months remaining on his current contract with Spurs and that should be a major concern for supporters.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to get the attacking midfielder to extend his stay, as losing him one leave a major hole in the side and he’s also worth far more than £40million in the current transfer market.

According to the Sun, Eriksen has previously held talks with Spurs about a new deal and failed to reach an agreement after he wanted to increase his salary from £70,000-a-week to £160,000-a-week.
Eriksen is in the peak of his powers right now and is surely going to be integral in Spurs ending their trophy drought if he sticks around for years to come.
The creative playmaker has proven for a number of years he can unlock Premier League defences and Levy has to intervene financially to ensure one of Pochettino’s talisman can’t be pinched away by Spanish heavyweights Madrid.
