Tottenham have missed a trick by not majorly pursuing a deal for defensive target Max Aarons of Norwich City.
Football.London reported at the end of June that Spurs would make an enquiry for the right-back if Kieran Trippier exits the club.
The report detailed that he was seen as a potential replacement for Trippier, who is being eyed by Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
But it now looks like any potential Spurs raid for the Norwich teenage is off the cards.
According to the Telegraph, the 19-year-old has agreed a new five-year contract with Norwich and it should be confirmed in the next few days.
He’s set to commit his future at Carrow Road and will be hoping to help them following their return to the Premier League for the new season.

Aarons has all the tools to make the step up to the top-flight and would have been an exciting player for Spurs to pursue.
He was directly involved in nine goals in 43 games across all competitions last season and has all the traits of a modern day full-back.
The England Under-19 international is a major threat going forward with his attacking overlapping runs and has a decent delivery into the box.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have made a real knack of developing young English talents and Aarons looks like one that has got away, who may go on to be a crucial player in the coming season for Norwich.
