Tottenham have a teenage striker on their books whose finishing is amazing

Dane Scarlett has been lost in the shuffle at Tottenham a little bit as of late.

The young striker was tipped to be the next big thing a few years ago as he made his debut as a 16-year-old under Jose Mourinho, but, recently, everything around Scarlett has gone quiet.

With the likes of Will Lankshear, Alejo Veliz and Jamie Donley also developing, Scarlett has sort of been forgotten about in certain circles.

However, those within Spurs seem to still rate Scarlett highly.

Indeed, according to Charlie Eccleshare, speaking on The View from The Lane, people within Tottenham do really rate Scarlett’s finishing, claiming that he’s often described as a natural and clinical finisher in front of goal.

Dane Scarlett’s finishing is fantastic

The journalist shared what he’s heard about the youngster.

“Scarlett is probably one of those who has been affected more than guys like Donley because they didn’t have a cup run. He didn’t get those opportunities. He turns 20 next month. He’s someone who you just thought was so natural and that’s what everyone says about him, he’s such a natural clinical finisher,” Eccleshare said.

Could be useful

Scarlett doesn’t necessarily look as though he’ll make it at Tottenham, but that isn’t to say that he won’t have a solid career.

Scarlett is a top class finisher by the sounds of things, and if there’s anything that any team in world football needs, it’s someone to put the ball in the net.

No matter what level he ends up playing at, if Scarlett can score goals, he will be a useful player for whichever team he’s playing for.

This young man is still only 19, so we shouldn’t write him off just yet, but after a couple of unimpressive loans, he needs to improve soon if he’s going to make it at Spurs.
